There was a bit of a tiff about me supporting Oceanariums against a person who hates them entirely, I can't stand the hatred against places like that. I support places like and I do get upset when people say straight out that they hate those places. Plus--

When I’ve started on my purpose on not having my own children due to the fact that some Endabged Animals that are in Human Care are having their offspring during a time when critics and abolitionists would want to see the critters go in the way of their prehistoric relatives because Human Care (and the Species Survival Programs) are Problematic and [insert ists and isms here], its upsetting that they are being born in a time where places that care for them are being hated upon.

I have taken to using "in human care" in place of "captivity". This helps with the argument subconsciously as the one sounds more positive.
Animals in human care live longer than in the wild.

Sure both have the same message but the first starts out positive and second starts negative and colors the rest of the message.
